The rear axle assembly has now been bead blasted and is primed, ready to be epoxy coated. Also finalised the design of the oil system based around an accupump. Not a perfect solution but adequate for the sprint races that we will be competing in.

Yep, same shit - different day. Altogether too much work on other projects and not enough time over to dedicate to motor racing (had to make a quick trip abroad...sigh...). Have located some new transmission mounts, which are a tad too soft but much cheaper than vulcanising our own (saving about 500 euros!). They will be changed twice a season instead - go to pic

Work in progress amounts to a great deal of administration and much sighing. Going to dump the front lights, even though they are part of the "Classic" Alfa look. Simple really, less weight so far forward and more air intakes to help in cooling the front brakes

Decided to go with a rubber bushing for the foreward mounting pin on the transaxle assembly as the sub-assembly is not strong enough to be either bearing or nylon bush mounted. We will have to live with a small amount of tolerance untill a new front carrier can be fabricated.

Finally got the old wheel bearings out of the DeDion rear axle assembly. A spherical bearing is going into the watts link to provide accurate hub articulation and location. Also sending the delta frame to be bead blasted and epoxy painted (Alfa red...it makes it easier to see if the tranaxle or brake system is "Weeping"
